Dr Brad Walsh awarded first prize to boost Minomic’s efforts for MiCheck® China launch – offering a better solution for prostate cancer diagnosis

13 September 2018: [Sydney] Diagnostic company Minomic International Ltd today announced it had secured first prize at the 2018 Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition for Overseas High-Level Talents held in Hangzhou China on 7 September.

The competition showcased new technologies from international participants, including Australia, South Africa and China. Each competitor initially presented at a competition in own country with the winners of the local competitions progressing to present in the Grand Final in Hangzhou, China. Minomic’s CEO, Dr Brad Walsh delivered a presentation on MiCheck®, the company’s novel diagnostic test for prostate cancer, winning first prize.

Dr Walsh, noted, “We are very proud to receive this strong endorsement of MiCheck®’s novelty and clinical utility from a panel of international judges. Beating a field of strong international participants, all with novel and elegant technologies, highlights the importance of our work in improving the diagnosis of prostate cancer.”

As a result of securing first prize, Minomic will have the opportunity to build a relationship with the competition sponsors, CPC Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Hangzhou Municipal Government. The prize also includes financial investment and support for the establishment of commercial activities in the Hangzhou region.
